One day, on an old country road...

A cop pulled a driver over for speeding. He walked up to the driver's side and said, "Do you know how fast you were going, sir?"

The guy replied, "I was just trying to keep up with traffic."

The cop looked around then said, "There IS no traffic."

And the guy replied, "I know! That's how far behind I am!"
